Do I Have To Stand Up In Front Of People?
No, we won't make you do that. Some churches, with good intentions, ask visitors to stand up and introduce themselves in front of everyone. We believe that you will be more comfortable meeting a few people who are seated around you who are genuinely interested in getting to know you rather than introducing you to lots of people but not really meeting anyone.
Do I Have To Wake Up Early?
No, our service starts on Sunday morning at 10:30. Come for a coffee before or stay for one after the service.
Do You Want My Money?
In a word, NO!
The folks who are a regular part of our service help support, but we certainly do not expect our visitors to give. If you join us at one of our meetings, you are our guest, and we don't ask our guests for their money. In time, if you decide to become a regular part of our church you may decide that you would like to give monetarily. At that time, we would joyfully welcome your participation. But our desire for you is to simply check us out without feeling pressured to give money.
Do I Have To Dress Up?
Absolutely Not! If you join us for one of our meetings, you will see people wearing suits, dresses, jeans and slacks. The rule of thumb at New Hope Church is casual attire. Just wear clothes that make you feel comfortable.
Do I Have To Turn My Kids Over To A Stranger?
We offer a children's program and nursery during the service and we are confident that your children would have a great time if they were to participate. We also realize that you may want to check us out before you allow your children to go. That's OK. Your children are definitely welcome to stay with you during the service.
What Is The Service Going To Look Like?
You can expect to see people casually dressed. We start around 10:30a.m. and usually are done by noon. You'll hear great music, and a relevant talk. There is coffee in the back, and a program for your kids.
What Is The Point Of All This?
Church is people meeting together to share their faith journey. Come and join us. You are not alone. There are thousands of people looking to make sense out of God, their world and their spirituality.
